Anyone in a discordant relationship how did your bf/gf tell you about hsv2 ...

I wanted to hear about how someone told there bf/gf about their hsv2 and how it went and if your still together...I feel like telling my bf everyday but the thought of losing him scares me...but my doctor says to wait and if he loves you he will accept all of me....uugh I just don't want to put all of this effort in and get no where even though that's a part of life...any input will help..ty

Please keep in mind that I don't believe that he has been tested for either 1 or 2 but I would like him to...He always talks about not wanting to get the "herp because it's out there" so I think he's very stigma based and uneducated at the same time...I'm assuming he hasn't been tested only because most doctors don't test unless you have signs or symptoms. Right??..do I just say I'm ready to have a sexual relationship but..or say get tested and go from there...I feel like if I say it first then I'm the bad person, which I'm not but will that make him want to test..He told me that sex isn't an issue and he's not going anywhere. He thinks I've been hurt so many times that sex puts a damper on things.. ( sell now it does)..

Well I was diagnosed with a Igg type specific test and my doctor told me it was hsv2 genital. I've never had an ob thus far. I found out last year in sept...After beating myself up I started researching and my doctor told me that I am asymptomatic. ( which in this case is a plus )  because I don't have ob's...is it considered more of a viral infection than a skin disorder?...I'm just trying to come up with a direct and simple approach for my boyfriend because he is special to me and I am ready to have sex ...As well as he is...
