Please help! Very Paranoid

Hi,

I had sex with a sex worker about a month and a half ago. She performed oral on me which was protected, and we had vaginal for less than 2 min which was also protected. I am almost certain that the condom didn't break and that it was put on right as it was my first time that I had sex. I did not kiss her or perform oral on her. I did finger her but there were no cuts on my hand and there was no vaginal fluid as she did not ejaculate during the whole act. Right after the act, I was very paranoid I don't know why. I started having frequent urination for the next couple of days. It improved but then I started looking up symptoms for Stds then i felt like I had every symptom I read. Initially, I just had frequent urination (clear urine) and groin pain. Then I started reading up symptoms of stds and had neck pain, and armpit pain. My glands were never swollen, maybe a little pain in the groin area. I didn't get any blisters, cuts, or sores. Due to paranoia, I started getting hot/cold flashes both during the night and during the day. I also started getting hand trembles/chills, I might have even lost a couple of pounds. I also had a sore throat, and mucus in my throat. I decided to take amoxicillin and took 500mg twice a day for about a week. Most symptoms seem to have improved but then I started getting mild diarrhea and got a thin white coating on tongue (didn't look like a yeast infection at all). Two days after I stopped taking the dose, I had a little constipation. My stools were not normal and they were altering every time.

Now its about 7 weeks since the incident. My energy level is fine, I don't really have a white tongue, or sore throat. My weight is back to normal. I am eating totally fine, but the only thing is that a couple of days ago I got the pain in my groin again, but again no sores or blisters. I have had a continuing back pain since the time I had sex (I use to get back pains before too), but i have a very mild pain in my legs also. Please let me know what it could be! I checked my blood pressure like a week ago and it was much higher than usual. I have been really stressed about this whole thing. Please let me know if this is just stress or something else? All I do the whole day now is look up symptoms. There was a period of a week where I stopped myself from going online and I felt like I was totally fine.

Please help!

Your symptoms are NOT related to HIV.  If you had a condom failure, you would certainly know about it.  Since you have not indulged in what we would call 'high risk' activities, you are not at risk from HIV or indeed any other STD's.  You have nothing to worry about.  Amoxicyllin is a anti-biotic - which can sometimes cause thrush - but most importantly - it is not HIV related.

Thanks for the advice.  Really appreciate it. I mean the only thing honestly I was scared about is genital herpes.  I have a back pain, and mild pain in legs and knees.   Maybe a little itching.  I don't even know I just have been reading so much stuff online that I keep thinking I have all the symptoms.   Please advise.  Thanks!

no reason to believe this is herpes. we all can legs and back pain from time to time.
unless you get obvious symptoms (blisters, sore), time to forget about herpes.
