Please help me - Fear of contracting Herpes HSV2

I'm hoping someone can please pleaseeeee help me regarding contracting Genital Herpes.

I met a guy whom I thought we would end up in a long-term relationship however he ended things, I stupidly regret taking the chance to be with him knowing he had hsv2.

Anyway he is on suppressive medication but from what he told me he only takes it when his having sex.

We had sex 5 times and he used a latex condom each time.

I'm so scared that I have herpes as I've experienced the following but please note, he is the first man I've been with in 4 years sexually so I'm not sure if I'm suffering from sensitivity in my genital and rectum area - We had normal vaginal/penis sex.

I have a slight tingle/ somewhat of a slight itch in parts of my vagina and rectum and a tingly sensation on my right thigh. This has been going on for about 4 days now.

There are no signs of any lesions.

I did shave before having intercourse with him so I did have a slight razor rash however this is normal everytime I've shaved in the past.

My vagina is also a bit red, so it looks like I have a rash but no sign of lesions or ulcers? And normal discharge.

I have never been tested for hsv but I have only ever had one other relationship and we were both virgins.

Please help!

Yes foreign bacteria and yeast infections can be prolonged.

If you have cold sores then you have HSV1, otherwise its likely what you thought were cold sores were probably something else.

Only the 12 week test will be conclusive for you.

Sorry to ask again, however I have pins and needles throughout both of my thighs as well, thought I should mention that?
I'm very paranoid I've caught HSV2 and I'm aware that I need a blood test however is it wise in the interim I go to a doctor to have myself checked anyway?

Thank-you so much!

Yes I do get oral cold sores, whenever I'm very stressed or sick but I don't have hsv1.

Is there a possibility I have a bacterial infection from sex?
I think because I know he has herpes that's what I'm concluded but the tingly feeling in my genital area and rectum is driving me insane.

There is a very small chance of transmission, precautions were taken.

Do you get oral cold sores?

The best way is to wait 12 weeks and obtain an IgG blood test or have lesions that may emerge swabbed.

Overall no lesions is a good sign and yes everything you describe can be from irritation returning to sexual activity.

Also, if I have a constant tingling for days and no lesions appear is there a big chance its not herpes?
