Possible HSV2 outbreak? please help

Hi there i am just looking for some information about a bump i had a few weeks ago. So to begin i have genital HSV1 and tend to get outbreaks every so often usually of mild intensity, i have had a few pretty painful ones but for the most part they don't bother me too much and cant remember the last time i had an outbreak. My question is since i haven't had an outbreak in so long i had sex with my ex boyfriend and after he was complaining of a blood blister he had at the top of his butt crack. I looked at it and noticed it was filled with dark red blood and i didn't really think much about it until 2 weeks later i developed 1 single bump and my right gland started to swell. It was just one bump and by the second or 3rd day a little bit of white pus came out of it. It was probably gone in a week or so but it got really big and painful (probably because i picked at it so much) but it never became an open sore or anything. I am wondering if i have no been exposed to HSV2, how will i know the difference between a reoccurrence of HSV1 and an initial outbreak of HSV2? Can herpes cause blood blisters? dark red blood came from the blister my boyfriend had so I'm kind of unsure what to think about this. Would HSV2 present as just one bump? It was on the area i shave. I haven't had another bump since and am wanting to start a new relationship but am not sure if i have type 2 now.

Any response would help, thanks.

Also from what you describe they dont appear to be herpes lesions but herpes sores are also known as the great imposter.

Hi, you would not know if you have hsv2 unless you test and the best way is a culture from a fresh lesion (within 48 hours)
A blood test would only confirm you have it but the lesion would be specific to the lesion area.
