can this be herpes?

had unprotected sex about 3 weeks ago and it seems like about almost a week ago I noticed 2 normal sized red bumps at the top of my pubic hair so I brushed them off as zits. Then like a few days later I noticed another 1 towards the middle and as I was inspecting I noticed 4-5 pin sized pinkish ones scattered around my pubic area..in the picture the real red/scabbed ones are from me picking at them..i had a few pimple like bumps on each side of my shaft but they seemed to go down and heal..

I know a diagnosis is impossible to make from a picture on the internet, but do they look like herpes? or any other std? I do feel an itchy sensation but I try not to itch it.. any input would be appeciated thanks

Nothing you have said even sounds like herpes. Pin sized red dots? Please. I agree with the ER Doc and the Student that it's not herpes....

I went to the ER I was so anxious because I heard that you need to go in within 2 days of having bumps to get a culture test and my dr appt wasnt until tomorrow..Well 1 dr and 1 student dr both checked me out and said it was not herpes, i kept asking could it be herpes? and the said no because you would know if it was herpes because it is very painful and they said trust me its not herpes..so they said it was dermatitis, gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way..they tested for other stds just to be sure but they said its not herpes for sure

Well, at this point, it might be tough to determine what you had since you picked them, and all that's left are scabs.

You can ask your doc for a type specific IgG herpes blood test, but it might not be accurate yet.  It can take up to 4 months to develop antibodies.

It might be a fungal thing, an allergic reaction - anything.
