Question about cold sores
I have a sore, red area on my upper lip that seems to be developing a head. So far as i know, it just cropped up last night. Could this be a cold sore, pimple, in grown hair? I don't have a cluster of blisters yet. I have been having alot of pimples lately on all parts of my body. I have healing herpes symptoms on my penis, but i tested negative with a culture.
you'll need to follow up with a blood test in 4 months post encounter then for the genital symptoms.

I'm currently waiting on my insurance to take effect so i cannot go to the doctor at this time. And no, they only did the culture.
Did you have a baseline herpes blood test done when you went for your culture?
It's hard to tell if this on your lip is herpes or not. A culture today would be helpful for figuring that out.
