we just dont know the answer to this. How can we say you absolutly know you dont have it? Its only proven by testing.
I meant why is it uncommon to get hsv 1 in two different locations during the same time?
I know I have hsv 1 orally, but I'm afraid I could of contracted it genitally as well during the same exposure. Although, I don't know where I got it from. I've never had an outbreak, but I'm worried that I might be one of those rare people that get an outbreak years later.
Hsv2 prefers genital area and hsv1 prefers the oral area. Also hsv perfers soft mucus tissues where the nerves are easily absorbed into and the genital area of the man does not consist of this and pubic hair can act as a barrier.
Thank you!
It's not common to contract hsv in two different places at the same time?
Why is that?
Hi, without a swab of a genital sore we cannot absolutly conclude that a person does not have it in both area. However in your case i would be comfortable in assuming that you only have it orally since contacting it in 2 areas is not common anyway.A person may or maynot have outbreaks in both areas at the same time. Certainty is only with testing.
I meant if you do contract hsv 1 in both locations, then you will show symptoms in both places during an initial outbreak.
