I get these watery blisters on my penis every 4-5 months. There is no rhyme or reason for this outbreak. I have unprotected sex with my wife and she doesn't seem to have these symptoms. What could this be?????? Please help!!!!!

You will know once a Dr. diganosis this thing via blood test.  You can take that at any time and tell him specifically what you feel this might be.  Have you ever read up on other websites about shingles?  It is a direct result from having chickenpox and getting a anti-virus (which was the dead or supposedly dead herpes virus) back in the "day".  My hubby of 17 years has had HSV1  and recently we had another test done.  I do not have HSV1 and was tested positive for HSV2.  He does not have the HSV2.  You can have this in either location.

He and I have decided not to have protected sex and I to date, haven't had another break out.  I have added 500mg of L-lysine once a week to my vitamin regimine and take awful tasing chinese tea once a month, and I guess these things are working.  I don't know if one is working or the other since I didn't keep a journal (which is suggested).

The more you educate yourself on this condition, the more you'll understand where it might have came frome and how to adjust your life to accomdate a menus.  What I actually have come to realize is this:  Everyone has it, it is just if and when it if ever, will rear it's ugly head.  My mother of 65 years, has horrible so called "cold sores".  She has only been with 2 men her entire life, both are HSV free.  So how does this make sense?  I go back to the chickenpox theary, and that's where I find my clues.

Just in case:  check this out, but do ask someone who speaks chinese to interpret, the english is limited.  Also, it is so gross, I hold my nose during drinking 6 ounces of it and then follow up, still holding my nose, with Gatorade.  Otherwise, it will make you sick to drink it with the aftertaste none-the-less the smell.

You've been having these for a few months now it sounds so you should go and be seen about them. Get a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your status is. your symptoms are very suspicious for herpes so proper follow up is in order.

Herpes is so common and because some don't always show symptoms, people don't know they have it. She could very well have the virus and by what you are saying, it sounds as though it could be herpes. I would go to the doctor as soon as you have an outbreak so they can diagnose you.
