All i can suggest at this point is the WB test, if your concerned till then, he can use a dental dam that isolates the clitoral area.
I appreciate your response, but my primary concern is protecting myself and my potential partner from transmission during oral sex in the absence of genital contact. I especially worry because I am asymptomatic and shedding can occur at anytime.
As a rule 2 positives would be conclusive but since there both very low i would suggest taking the Western Blot tests for final conclusiveness.
Good morning,
Just checking back to see if you have any advice.
Thank you.
I was tested twice via blood test 4 weeks apart. My first test was 90 days after last protected sexual encounter the result was 1.36 and my retest completed 4 weeks later was 1.64. I am now 6 months post my initial testing. Side note - My physician declined to give me meds because symptoms have not manifested and she was concerned they would induce an outbreak. Symptoms still have not presented themselves, no tingling, no lesions, no discomfort, no recurring yeast infections, only occasional feelings of vaginal dryness likely due to premenopause as a result of a full hysterectomy.
Hi, tell us about the test results showing positive.
