how likely?

how likely is it to contract herpes through grinding and rubbing genitals, a ONE time occurrence (no intercourse). It seems unlikely but this was months ago and since i've been getting blisters down there. I dont actually look, but it starts to sting and i put toilet paper against where it stings and i see blood as if a blister popped?

And also how do i get tested.  I went to a sex health clinic and she said they dont do blood tests because even if you have cold sores it will show up positive.

Yes it is possible if unlikely to be infected this way. You should be suspicious enough to obtain the testing, which will be useful.

I think you need to start by finding a doctor or clinic who actually knows what they are doing! That can be a little difficult unfortunately. The testing you are after is IgG antibodies type specific for HSV1 and HSV2. Sure, if you ever had cold sores then you would show positive for HSV1 but not HSV2. It is difficult to run down the location of a HSV1 infection at times, but at least you'll know more than you presently do.
