Scared

Back in May after i broke up with my boyfriend I decided to get a fresh start and get tested for everything possible.  I have never and still to this day have had any symptoms so I kind of figured this will just be confirmation im good!  The first test was taken on 6/22/2010 my results came back as follows HSV1 - negative and HSV2 IGG 1.32.   A few weeks later I went to a different doctor on 7/6/2010 and HSV1 - negative HSV2igg 1.00.  I decided to wait a few months and on 9/28/2010 took another test with the results HSV1- negative and HSV2igg 1.99.  All of the igm tests were negative, even though I know there useless I figured i'd share that with you.  I have never had any symptoms still to this day.
I read that anything under a 3.5 should get a confirmatory test done, either biokit or western blot.  Please give some sort of help I was told to take the western blot by Grace being that my tests were low and the igm's were negative.  What should i do?  Thanks you

I'm not clear what test they did.  These numbers are not familiar to me.  Is it LabCorp?

Hi Terri,

So I have been waiting for about a month for my results for the western when my bill came today.  I thin they did the wrong test.  Where it says CPT Code it says 86695 and for hsv2 it says 86696.  Am i reading this correctly that these are the wrong tests??  Thank you Casey

You should get a western blot as Grace suggested, for sure.  You can get this through Quest labs, the code is 34534.  Since your values have been all over the place in this very low positive range, I'm guessing the western blot is going to be negative as well.  Do let us know!
