Simplex

Hi, few months back I tested myself for HSV 1 and 2. The test of HSV  1+2-IgGAb to Herpes Simplex Virus, serum by CLIA came indeterminate with reading at 0.961 and HSV1+2-IgMAb to Herpes Simplex Virus, serum by EIA came in negative with reading at 0.06. What to read of the result

no real reason to think your rash is due to herpes. be seen and get your rash looked at.

I did not quite get your answer. Did you mean if I tested positive for herpes I would experience the pain. Also this test was taken 45 days after the exposure.

Which specific test needs to be taken to be completely sure.

herpes won't linger if these have been there more than 2 weeks. also typically i fyou are negative for herpes, you would get "classic" symptoms that would hurt and have numerous lesions.

have you been seen for your rash?

3 months back I had a night out with a girl, which I later figured out was an escort. The reason to ask the question is I have few red spots on my penis which don't burn, It also does not burn during urination, but they come, stay for few days or a week and then go.
Which specific test do I need to go through. Is the. Indeterminate result which is above the negative level a risk.

you had non-type specific testing which isn't what we recommend.

since you tested negative, totally up to you if you want to pursue further testing or not.

any particular reason why you tested?
