Small blister

Hello I had an unprotected oral sex with a csw last night, next day morning I had burning sensation in my lower lip and now I see there is a small blister in the middle of my lower lip. Does herpes blister show up in less than 24 hrs?

Hello, I took the medication over night next morning the pain is all gone I couldn't even see the small bump on my lower lip. But I could still see the small dogs inside my lower lip which are not painful. Does this sounds like herpes?

Hello, I did finally saw a Doctor in Walk in clinic. He looked at them and said there are blisters inside the lip, but he is not sure they are ulcers or cold sores. He took a swab from those blisters and prescribed valacyclovir 500 mg. But on most of the forums I read if the blisters are inside the lip they are calling it as mucocels. Could that be mucoceles in my case?

It was deep kissing but I developed only one bump on lower lip which is not even invisible. And the timing of it looks very odd to me because it developed in less than 24 hrs. I have booked an appointment at planned parenthood on coming Thursday. Hopefully the air will clear out. Thank you very much for your help.

Kissing would be a risk for oral herpes and most often sores on the lips are herpes. But it takes some deep romantic kissing. If this is herpes, it most likely is an old infection. Testing for herpes 3 months post exposure would confirm.

Hi ,I didn't perform oral on her she performed oral on me. But we kissed during the act, could that be mucocele? Its just a small bump on middle of lower lip where it meets upper lip, but it is burning a little so far there is no clear blister. If it is a cold sore when would it turn to blister after initial symptoms? Thanks

If you gave oral sex then you would also be at risk for syphilis and hpv and if you have a long term partner it would be advised to get tested for their protection.

Okay, the sore throat is not linked.
Like I say, if you're concerned have a doctor take a look.

It really could be a number of things, even something trivial like a pimple.
Have you noticed any other symptoms like swollen glands or a sore throat?

If it was a cold sore thanks to herpes you could expect it to be changing form. Maybe oozing fluid and then scabbing over and healing within 10 days. It would probably be causing some pain also.

If you're particularly worried you could have a blood test to tell you I've you're one of many others that has HSV-1. If it goes away in a few day or so, forget about it

Is that a ulcer on my lip or something else? Should I see a doctor?

With herpes, blisters show up on average 4/5 days after encounter and it's rare for them to appear after 10 days.
Transmission via oral sex is not at all high risk. It happens yes, but it's rare. Especially from a one off encounter.

Thank you for the reply, in this encounter she performed oral on me. But I performed oral on other lady a month ago which was very brief. Do you think blisters show up after a month?

Nope, never before two days post exposure. Having said that it could be that you have always had HSV-1 and these two things aren't linked.

I'm guessing you performed oral sex on her? Even if she had herpes, and she (I'm assuming) had no visible signs of an outbreak, the risk is still very small from oral sex

And also, csw workers actually tend to NOT have STIs as they maintain good sexual health because of their job.
