Just to add as well, the "irriatation was there for about 2 weeks or more before the bumps appeared, and it was about 4 days after the bumps appeared that the pain started, also felt like burning fire on my entire vaginal area (minus labia majora). The entire area was bright bright red in colour, and over the weeks turned into a darker colour and now still red. But now, it still does not look the same, it has an appearance like it has literally been "hacked up." I'm just extremely terrified and have been worried sick for 16 weeks!
Also, when I said in last post that entire area swelled up, I meant vagina opening (almost swelled closed) and area around it...
I had been with the same partner for years, then had a new partner, had unprotected (extremely intoxicated) sex twice. It was 6 weeks after him that all these symptoms started. During the swelling period, it was the worst pain ever, brought me to tears. It looked as though each side of my vulva was torn from it, dr didnt agree. It still does not look right, reddened and a "hacked up" near vaginal entrance and below. She did a vaginal swab and said it was good, that was about a week or two before my symptoms started. It really worries me because I heard rumours after the fact that he had herpes, of course he denies it and we have no contact anymore. I plan on getting another herpes test at 6 months, just not sure of the accuracy of the 10 week and 5 day one post exposure. Never in my life have I had symptoms like that. Everything I read online sounds like the symptoms match up, but I'm completely lost. I even had the tingling pain, but read it could be nerves aswell. I had lost about 10 or 15 pounds going through of all of this being extremely worried sick, so I thought that maybe that could depress my immune system from producing antibodies?? Thank you so much for your reply, I GREATLY appreciate it!!
you won't get a numeric result with the immunoblot. it only returns with a positive or negative.
continue to be seen every month as needed for your symptoms. chronic yeast issues can cause these symptoms as well as many other things. make sure you are being properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally each time you are seen too.
is it likely this is a herpes issue? as you already seem to have figured out, no it does not.
do you have a regular partner?

Just to add, I have been tested for all other STD's at 7 weeks, and just this week (16 weeks)....What are the chances I would have negative herpes test at almost 11 weeks with symptoms present? My doctor said initially when she took the swab that she didnt think it was herpes, and she says now that 100% I dont because of blood test....I'm just so worried everyday..Any advice would help!
