Tears?

I posted this in the general STD forum, but I just want to cover my bases. I have a small tear in my labia, a little bit like a paper cut. It only hurts when I wipe after going to the bathroom and that is really the only thing that is wrong, no fever, no headache, etc. I had protected sex two days ago, could these be caused by there not being enough lubrication on the condom or something more serious? My friends who have herpes said it doesn't sound like that's what it is, but could it be anything else? I did have unprotected sex about 3 months ago, but the person had just been tested for everything and he was clean, and I have never shown any symptoms of anything.

Thanks!

Thank you for your advice! The person in question did get tested for herpes, but I didn't know that it wasn't part of the usual battery of tests, good to know.

The tear in question actually isn't even visible anymore, but I will go get looked at anyway, just to be safe. I think I may have overreacted a little, but thank you again!

Condoms aren't 100% protection against herpes transmission.

fyi - most folks don't really get tested for everything - they just say they do. Also most std screenings don't include herpes testing.

You need to go and be seen and get this looked at. They should be doing a herpes lesion culture as well as testing your vaginal secretions for yeast and bacterial infections too.
