Test Results

Wondering what these results mean and if they are considered high enough to be positive I read on some sites that a true positive result is like 3.something Anyway
HSV1/2 IGG+HSVII
IGG/TYPE SPEC
HSVI/IIIGG   -           H42.5

REFERENCE
NEGATIVE 1.0

HSVIIIGG,TYPE SPEC.      <0.91

REFERENCE
NEGATIVE 1.09

HSV IGM I/II
COMBINATION,
SERUM
HSV, IGM I/II
COMBINATION-      H2.78

REFERENCE
NEGATIVE 1.09

Does this make sense? Is this accurate? Do I need further testing?

since you've both had other partners, you both need to wait and get all your std testing done at the right times. you can get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea anytime after 1 week post encounter. syphilis after 6 weeks. herpes and hiv after 3 months.  You should be having protected sex until enough time has passed since your last partners.

when you repeat your testing, make sure they only do hsv1 igg and hsv2 igg.

I've also read that igg and igm levels can be high from fighting any infection.and some as serious as TB and cancer. Also can be high due to estrogen and pro estrogen allergies. I'm on the depo provera shot!! I've recently had bad nausea, headaches, hot flashes, and backaches....and I know I'm too young for menopause!!

Thanks GracefromHHP for taking the time to read this. I've been with the same guy for about a year with break ups here and there. In March/April he slept with someone else and maybe a month ago I did. Anyway we are trying to make things work. I just wanted to get tested  for peace of mind. From things I've read combined testing can not be trusted and can leave to false negatives. I even read somewhere antibody tests for Hsv can sometimes be mistakes by Varicella antibodies. I know it can 12 to 16 weeks for antibodies to show in blood test. But don't know how true any of this is or if the test may be truly accurate ..just worried. Just wondering if I should have further testing? Or what to do next!! Thanks again for your time!!!_

most of your testing you had done was not really of much help.

your combined igg tells you nothing.

your combined igm is also a waste of time and money.

your hsv2 igg was negative.

you were not tested for hsv1.

was there a specific reason why you had tested? How long prior to testing had you last had sex?
