Test Results?

My boyfriend just got his herpes results in and I received them via email I'm looking at all this and I quite don't understand it all..

HSV 1/2  AB SCREENING IGM 0.87f
HSV 1/2  AB SCREENING IGG 15.20f
HSV2  GLYCOPROT  IGG AB BY ELISA 0.25F

What does this mean?

Oh go it. It's interesting how they recommend getting this type of testing done when it's non specific.

Will ask our Dr. if he thinks getting a HSV 1 test is prudent. To be on the safe side.

he could be hsv1+ and they didn't test specifically for that or it could even be that his non-specific test is falsely positive due to non-herpes related issues. It's why that particular test is such a waste of time for the most part.

I guess no point.

Or mainly because the 15.20 HSV 1/2 AB SCREEN, IGG thorugh me off somewhat.

Thanks again Grace.

Hi Grace thank you so much for your prompt response.
I get tested every year. My last test was six months ago and it all came back negative.

Should he get re tested? I've never seen an out break on him or anything we been sexually active for 4 months.

The igm test isn't worthwhile and should've never been drawn.

The igg 15.20 is a non-type specific test which also isn't very helpful.

The .25 hsv2 igg result is a negative.

Have you been tested?
