Yes exactly, your results page says negative, right? You can believe it!
I have over 4 months from last exposure of concerns and I don't have any Symptoms
Sorry to bother you but is this mean I don't need to worry about it
Yes there are tests that express results in units such as Ru/mL for example. These tests are still ELISA based and hence as accurate as any other test.
Your test result sheet will hence say you are negative for both HSV1 and HSV2. This is conclusive given a 12 week window from any exposure of concern to you.
Please some one can get me answer
I am no expert, I am just a girl in the midst of my own scare awaiting a Reply and 9 hours can feel like days. From what I have read >3.5 on an igg test is positive. Again. Not a medical expert. Just read a lot this week. I base this on having read between 1.1 and 3.5 it is a grey area with some tests causing false positives or negatives and on one forum when someone said they had 4.99 the nurse said it wasn't recent but exposure 4+ months who.
Do you know what kind of test it was? Igg, item, western blot, biokit?
What did your doctor say?
What was the reference range for positive? Was it >1.1 or > 20 for example?
