Just wondering. If i tested postive ten days after the exposure with a value of 3.53 for hsv 1. Could of this been been a prior infection before this encounter?
why in the world would I tell you something different from what Dr Hook has told you?
it's time for you to move on from this encounter. if you can't, consult with a counselor to talk about why you can't.
continue to post over and over for me when clearly I'm done answering you will result in reporting to the medhelp moderators at this point.
grace
Yes, i know but theirs other sources that say that hsv1 antibodies does not delay antibodies for hsv2 to be detected in a herpeselect igg test. Dr. Hook said it somewhat delays hsv2 antibodies if you have hsv1 antibodies? I just want to know grace. Thank you.
Because on here theres debates that having hsv1 antibodies does delay for hsv2 antibodies.
usually by 3-4 months it's not an issue which is why we recommend waiting that long.
really, no reason for more testing. Grace does that mean that hsv1 antibodies doesnt delay hsv2 antibodies and that three or four months are conclusive? Cause i read the westoverheights book and it doesnt answer my question. I called the cdc, westoverheights clinic in portland and they said that it doesnt delay hsv2 antibodies. I just want your thought/ information regarding this question. Thank you and ill really apperciate your respond Grace. God Bless you.
Im being annoying but could you just answer my question grace. Thank you.
Does anyone have a answer?
Does it delay hsv2 antibodies to show up on igg bloodtest at three or four months?
Grace, I just want to know if you have hsv1 antibodies does it delay antibodies for hsv2? I dont want to pay twenty dollars for just this question. Hope you could address me with the answer grace. Thank you.
I'm not grace, and I don't know why you would'nt need to wory about hsv2 orrally? but I belive some people may never show antibodies to hsv2? so your best bet is to have a swab done if you have a sore? Good luck I know this is frusterateing!!!!!!
Does hsv1 antibodies delay antibodies for hsv2? Thats all i want to know Grace.
Thanks petal. Grace could you answer my question. It will really help me out. Thank you. Your a well informatant in herpes. Thanks again Grace.
She did answer you:
"you received oral sex. no reason for testing for hsv2. you are worrying needlessly."
Grace could you just answer my posts and ill stop posting and asking the same thing. Ill really appreciate your time and respond. Thank you!
What made me worry of this was my numeric numbers because they raised for both hsv1 and hsv2. The hsv2 went up .31 after eight weeks from the last test. Just really worried/nervous. i know hsv2 is rare in oral sex but theres still a risk of contracting it. Thank you For your help Grace.
Grace, i would just like to know if having hsv 1 antibodies does it delay for hsv2 antibodies to show up on a blood igg test. If so how long to to wait to be sure i didnt get contract hsv2. Cause i read forums on here that says it does delay and read that journal on your profile too. Could you please answer my concerns on this. i would apperciate it a lot.
Grace, could you just answer my last question? Thank you.
Okay, but does hsv1 antibodies delay hsv2 antibodies to be detected in a herpeselect test
you received oral sex. no reason for testing for hsv2. you are worrying needlessly.
I read that information you had on your journal and it says that at three months and six months that the herpeselect test is 88 percent with primary hsv1. Im just confused. My question is as i asked before does having hsv1 antibodies delay antibodies for hsv2? Also how accurate are 10 week results? Should i just move on cause i didnt contract hsv2? Sorry to annoy you.
Thank you for your respond again Grace. So having hsv1 doesnt delay the antibodies for hsv2? How accurate is a ten week result? Thank you for your help. So just move on cause i didnt get hsv2?
usually by 3-4 months it's not an issue which is why we recommend waiting that long.
really, no reason for more testing.
The doctor didnt tell me that information you gave me. So the odds are on my favor especially with my ten week result. Last two questions. Does hsv 1 antibodies cause a delay for antibodies for hsv 2 to be detected in a herpeselect test at three or four months? How accurate is a ten week negative hsv 2 result? Also to just ease my mind when should i be tested at 3 or 4 months with me prior to having hsv 1 to have a accurate result towards hsv 2. Grace thank you so much for your information. Thank you Again.
