Tiny cuts, herpes or something else?

About five months ago I was experiencing extreme pain during and after intercourseand noticed a difference in my discharge with a foul odor. Not wanting to go to the clinic I started treatment for a yeast infection hoping that was the cause. Until I noticed a sore on my labia. Scared I went to the clinic and there I was diagnosed with PID(pelvic inflammatory disease) and had a culture taken to test for herpes, then a test for chlamydia and gonorrhea . I took the antibiotics for the PID and was relieved to find several weeks later that the culture and other tests came back negative. Unfortunately though the discharge and odor did not change. I then came in after a month to see what the cause was for that and was diagnosed with BV (bacterial vaginosis). Much to my dismay I noticed a month later a tiny looking cut around my labia and then several around the crack below my anus. The skin around it looked dry and almost chapped (like irritated from something but not crusty). Again, I had a culture taken ( testing for both HSV-1 and HSV-2) and this time a blood test for HSV-2. Results came back negative.

However, again I have seen this tiny cut after having sex near my labia and one on my anus. They bleed and aren't necessarily painful unless I touch them or my clothes chafe against it. I do wear tight fitting clothes and tights constantly. I want to know what this could possibly be considering I am not getting answers from the clinic. Unfortunately I do not have insurance nor the money to see a real doctor. Before I take it to that point I would like some insight. I feel these symptoms have to be related rather than just an array of different diseases. Help?

He did and the results came back negative. He is going in today for a 6 month follow up. Thanks for the reassurance, I will invest in some cream and see where that takes me.

it's not unusual for vaginal infections to cause skin irritation. at this point the best you can do is use a barrier cream to protect your delicate genital skin at this point ( aquaphor, desitin, a&d etc ) and continue to follow up monthly or as needed for proper testing for vaginal infections. sometimes getting rid of bv is difficult, especially when you've had it for a few weeks without proper treatment like you did.

do you have a regular partner? if so, have they  been tested for herpes yet?
