Herpes or Fungal or Nerve?

A few days ago there was unprotected handjob with 60s or less of licking/oral, as well as a few minutes of cunnlingus.  72 hours later I started to feel an "icy/hot" like sensation on my pubic region and top sides of scrotum.  The next morning it was nearly gone, but after shower it started up again, but also down the shaft.  Nothing on the tip of my penis except some redness most likely due to irritation, as I have a history of that.  The sensation seemed to spread to inner thighs and eventually top of thighs as well, with basically no redness.  The only redness seems to be the sides of my scrotum where it meeds my pelvic/pubic region.

I have never had a herpes outbreak and do not have herpes as far as I know.  Many websites described what I had as prodromal, but from reading here, this stage is only possible after an initial outbreak which I have never had.

Fast forward to around 30 hours later, the sensation is basically gone except on the top sides of scrotum.  I am thinking this is fungal related as there are no sores or lesions whatsoever and I was in briefs way more than usual, as well as in a wet bathing suit/pool for several hours, but the sensation hasn't completely stopped so I am a bit worried.

Thank you

Thanks --- yea the cool "icy/hot" like sensation is basically gone after using some otc antifungal cream the past few days.

No lesions, no discharge or pain during urination and I've never had an outbreak in the past so I am thinking this is more jock itch related.  The only strange thing was that there was never that much redness.

These may be something called a pearly papule, hard to know over the internet. If you want to know with more certainty, I would advise you to visit a clinician to have them evaluated.  If this was a prodrome to a herpes infection, you may have had lesions by now, if you were going to develop lesions.

I only ask because there seems to be very small, 1mm or less sized clear bubble like dots below the head of the penis, requiring a flashlight to see.  There seem to be more on one side than the other.  I believe they are Fordyce, but they are less prominent than the Fordyce lower on the shaft which is what raises my last question about what this could be?

Thank very much for your time.

Thank you for the reply.  So you are saying that this still could be prodrome to an STD?

Your symptoms do not sound typically herpetic, no.  I know that you can read about prodrome, and it is real, but those symptoms, without any genital sores may be many other things, including prodrome.  Unless you develop far more specific symptoms, I remain unconvinced and unconcerned about genital herpes in your situation, especially given your very limited sexual exposure.
