UTI & Herpes

Does Herpes cause UTI, i was told they really have no connection. But what im asking is because ive had a IGM and IGG test done 2010 in June, and IGM came back positive at 1.83, but IGG negative. I did a two week retest and it came back Negative IGG HSVI/0.09 & HSVII/0.12 . ive dont think ive had any symptoms, well not noticiable enough for me to worry, no coldsores, lesions, or outbreaks of any kind. The only thin gwas my lip will get irritated sting, then chap up and dry out on the lower lip but no sores/blisters gone in like 2 days . Now i have had feelings of a UTI, but taking Cipro in Three day doses and it was gone. I dont know what to think. Because i know the Acid in the urine, if it runs on a sore will cause it to burn, but if a typical out break last up to a week or two and the cipro clears the uti or feeling in three days is there any linkage??? or just a typical uti?

they told you wrong. you'll need to repeat your herpes igg blood test at the appropriate time.

no they told me i didnt need to wait that long just the two weeks was recommended. But i get urinalysis dont and some of it had bacteria not a big amount but enough to perscribe me medicane. but whenever i did have one the cipro really took care of it. Do you have the website for the CDC guidelines on IGM testing, Ive never seen it, and ive been looking for it. If its in the CDC guidlines wh dont doctors follow it.

did you have any testing done on your urine to confirm an uti?

did you wait at least 3 months after the last time you had sex to test for herpes with igg blood testing?

the herpes igm test is a flawed test and the CDC recommends that it no longer be used on adults to test for herpes. a + igm is meaningless.
