Unanswered questions!

My gynecologist only answered my health related questions and not my sexual related questions.

1. Is my vagina always going to smell like this? (You know like a really strong b.v. smell) It has gotten a lot better and now is barely noticeable but we women know what a normal smell is and still, it isnt.

2. When does the painful urination ends? Today is day 11 and because of the area I am not able to see if there are scabs in my sores, that are already healing or if it will hurt until the sores have completely disappeared?

3.how soon can I have sex again? That is a question from my husband. After what I've been through, sex is not even in my dreams but you know men...

4.making the assumption that my husband is + too; if I had the begining of an outbreak without noticing and had sex, how would that affect me and my husband?

5. If we had unprotected sex how would that affect us? Is there any stage in this condition that we arent contagious?

6. How do you see an outbreak coming? I had no fever, no discharge prior, no itchiness, no pain and no sickness. During the first days my lymph nodes werent swollen and I had no pelvic pain. I did notice my right leg falling asleep more than usual.

7. Is the shooting pain in the legs an outbreak symptom or a sign?

I definitely have 1000 of other questions but hey! I now have a lifetime to learn about this.

Thank you! My husband doesnt want to get tested. He decided it isnt worth it. He says that if I have it he wouldnt mind going through the same. I am getting tested anyways. Today, day 12 I was able to pee without tears, just discomfort thank goodness! I feel awesome and beautiful too lol... Thank you, again!

1. It will return to normal soon.

2. This too will end soon. Everyone is a little different and primary hsv outbreaks seem to take the longest to heal. Usually two-three weeks for the lesions to heal.

3.I do know men.lol we can be blunt and thick sometimes. You can resume sexual activities when you heal up and feel like it. Make sure you do both. He can wait.

4.if your husband is possible for the same type of hsv which is most probable then he is at no risk as he already has it. Even if his is oral and your is genital it will not ping pong between you. That's why I will continue to suggest he get a blood test!!

5.if he indeed has the same type of hsv and again this is the only plausible scenario then there is no need for protected sex. Again you both have the same type you both are basically immune from getting it on other areas of the body.

6.for a primary there are no warning symptoms. For future outbreaks you can experience a crawling sensation of the area. Slight burning or nerve pain. Again everyone is a little different but those are some of the most common symptoms.

7.it can be. Remember the virus crawls along the nerve path and nerves are quite sensitive.

My biggest advice is to get your husband tested. This will help identify what's going on exactly. Genital hsv1 and hsv2 of the genitals are different. It's important to know what you have. Hsv1 would be more desirable  (I know how odd that sound) as it has fewer outbreaks and sheds far less.
