Urgent !

Hi I am new to this but I am not sure if I have Hsv 1/2.. A couple Yrs ago I got a cold sore on my lip now I don't know how but it could've been from kissing this guy..but I don't know If he had an open sore or not..but I only had two outbreaks on my lip and never again and probably within that same year I started to feel tingles like between my anus and vagina,it was very uncomfortable,it itched and everything and it went away and still til this day it comes every now and then..but idk how this happened when I didn't have sex to get this!!..I am very aware that I stayed abstinent from sex..I never got white blisters on or inside my vagina but I did get ingrown hair bump on it on my pubic area..then i met my now ex that same year, we had unprotected sex and he got a little res rash on the base of his penis (uncircumcised) and then he got many bumps on his private but it wasnt blisters, just bumps but it went away in like a week, and it was itching..he went to the doc and the doc said that its an allergic reaction from changing soaps my question is do you think I have Hsv 1/2 because I'm very scared and nervous about this?

The weir thing is that I don't have blisters on or in my vagina...it's always by my anus, idk if it's from shaving or anything..when it appears, it starts to tingle and itch but It rarely comes & I have never had anybody perform oral sex on me to even get a blister down there..I was complete abstinent and I started to get these symptoms out of nowhere and that is why scares me

You dont know if you have hsv2 so how can you figure out how you got it!!!!
Dont get could up in the what if,s confirmation is not done by symptoms but by testing bottom line.

Just to be clear on a few things. HSV if a lifelong disease that can cause outbreaks with lesions at anytime, whether having sex or not. The only practical way that you can get genital herpes is through sex, meaning oral and vaginal, from an infected person.

Hence before you ever had any form of sex, that is any touching by someone with mouth, hand or genitals, it is not possible to have genital herpes.

Now that you have had sex, whether protected or not, being infected with herpes is a possibility, for you and your boyfriend.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about the itchiness and bumps, neither of which scream herpes, but why chance anything? When having unprotected sex it is a good idea for the two of you to get full STD testing. You both have to ask explicitly for an IgG antibody test that is type specific for HSV-1 and HSV-2 as doctors may not include this test automatically.

Herpes lesions are most often a blister type with a clear fluid and with hsv2 can be quite painful. Bumps would not be consistant with these type of lesions. At this point it would best to get tested type specific both you and your b/f to avoid these concerns.
