Wax/shaving

About 2 weeks ago I went to the doctor for suspicious bumps and found out I had obtained HSV-1 from my boyfriend who has it orally, which I would have never in a million years expected and we were both very upset to find out and are still struggling with what this means moving forward. My outbreak was only bad for about 48 hours then disappeared- no blistering/oozing/scabbing etc like I had read online, after 4 days I felt 100% normal again. Im just about to finish up my prescription of valacyclovir and have absolutely no idea what I should be doing/am allowed to do now moving forwards. For starters, when is it safe to have sex again? And is my likelyhood for another outbreak lower since my initial one was so minor? And my biggest question is when is it safe to get a Brazilian/shave because I have never been the type of person who just likes to trim, I find it extremely uncomfortable when I am not waxed. Is it too soon to get a wax just two weeks after my first outbreak? Or is it safer to shave (but now I'm afraid of nicking the skin.) thanks

Hi, a starting point would be to have your friend tested for hsv1 and if he does infact have it, him getting it genital from you would not be an issue as he would be bacicly immune to contracting it in both oral and genital areas.
