What are the chances of contracting HSV-1 from a lipstick/liner?

My stepmom offered me her lipliner to line the edges of my lips. I'm always so nervous to use other people's cosmetics but I didn't want to be rude and say no. I'm not sure of her HSV status but she has no visible sores and to my knowledge has never had any visible sores in the 15+ years she's been my stepmom. My question is, is this low or high risk of contracting oral herpes from this encounter?

I am HSV 1/2 negative as I get tested on the regular.

Hsv1 test misses 30% of hsv1 infections. As an adult hsv1 is almost  exclusively transmitted by romantic kissing.  The virus can stay alive outside of a host but when exposed to the environment it becomes noninfectious virtually immediately when exposed to the environment

Thank you for the information. So would this encounter be considered low risk?
i would not consider this low risk. I would rather say virtually NO risk. Low risk would be you heavily making out with a guy who’s hsv status was unknown.
