do i have herpes?

i got my results an it read..HSV 1 Igm 0.45 , igg 1.27 , HSV2 igm 0.37, igg 1.34. what does this mean? do i have herpes????

no, having chicken pox wouldn't cause a false positive on your hsv2 igg.

at this point, wait another month and repeat your hsv2 igg blood test and see what it shows and go from there since you tested a little early.

thanks for the reply.

i got tested because i recently found out that a guy i was sleeping with was having unprotected sex with many other women. i got tested about d 18th march, the last time we had sex was the end of january. and had sex about 5 times between april to december.


would me having chicken pox 2yrs ago reflect in my hsv2 igg results as being positive?

you are hsv2+

your hsv2 is a low positive and needs further confirmatory testing to know if it's a false positive or not.

why did you get tested?

when was the last time you had had sex prior to testing?
