So about a month and a half ago I felt adventurous and decided to go out with 2 guys just once 2 weeks apart. Always being petrified of stds, I did not engage in any sex but one guy did use his fingers on me and we made out. I also made out with another guy like 2 weeks later but that was it. I thought that herpes could only be spread through visible sores, but I was recently informed that that is not the case. There is something called shedding on asymptomatic people that allows for herpes to be spread. So now my question is, what is the likelihood that I could have contracted anything from these people? Also, is an asymptomatic person always able to infect someone else or is it only during the shedding/cycle period? I spoke to these people before doing anything with them (I even checked their mouth area to see if they had anything) and they told me I had nothing to worry about, and apparently one of them gets tested, yet after finding out how most people are misinformed about herpes and how common asymptomatic people are, I am going crazy because it can literally be transferred in numerous ways and most people don't even know they have it. Also can herpes be spread in any way by being fingered? Please let me know!
