What type of bleeding is associated with herpes?

From what I have read, vaginal bleeding between periods is associated with a herpes outbreak. Would this only happen when the sores are inside the vagina only? What type of bleeding does herpes cause? Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

you would not have noticeable bleeding or cramps with a recurrence.

if you are having spotting in between periods, time to see the gyn to figure out what is going on.

best of luck!!

Thank you for your response Life360! Besides the cramps, I'm not having any pain otherwise. I would likely know if there were open sores on the inside of the vagina causing the bleeding, right?

Hi, genital herpetic ulcers are open sores that can bleed easily. If there are no sores then there is no blood.
