Where does viral shedding occur if hsv2 is on pelvis amd not genitals?
Hello, Im a male that contracted hsv2 during protected sex. Because the condom did not cover everything, I ended up getting an outbreak about 1-2 inches above my penis. I have now had 2 small recurances in the same location in the last 6 months. My question is about asymptomatic shedding. What area am I likely to shed from? Is it from this same area on my pelvis (the infections site), or the genital areas as well? Im now on daily medication, but im curious if I need to consider using a barrier during sex, like a bandage, or liquid bandage.
