Would thr rhogam shot prevent my body from making antibodies that are able to test for herpes?

I am 8 months pregnant and recently had an outbreak of some sort. We tested for herpes, blood and swab, and syphillis rpr. all came back negative. I had shingles once when i was 13. a few months ago i got the rhogam shot. would this shot make my body unable to create the antibodies needed for testing?

no the rhogam shot won't change the way your body makes antibodies.

it's not likely you only had a shingles recurrence on the genital area.  the lesion culture also would've reflected shingles if that's what it was.

do you have a regular partner? if so , they too need a type specific herpes igg blood test done. they should get this done quickly because you need accurate answers this close to the time of delivery.

If you had a swab test done within 48 hours chances are its not a false negative.  Though it can be.  When was the last time you had sex with anyone before the test?

we tested twice for each std both negative.... what are the odds that it is a false negative? Could it be shingles of the vagina?
