Year long Herpes outbreak??

Hi, I'm a 27 year old male.

Over a year ago I had unprotected sex. The next day I woke up to a very itchy penis. I ignored the discomfort as I had slept with this girl numerous times and believed it wasn't anything. Over the next few days the itchiness would not go away but actually got worse. I then developed some painful red dots on the tip and around the head of my penis. These dots stayed around for about two weeks. The girl who I had slept with during this time went to the doctor and was diagnosed with genital herpes. She explained my situation and the doctor advised that I also have been infected with the virus. It has now been over a year and I still have red dots and a lesions in the exact same places. I tried anti viral drugs such as acyclovir for three months and it didn't make any difference. I have also invested a lot of time in natural remedies like garlic, oregano oil, tea tree oil and many others along the way. I also have been using dmso along with previously mentioned herbal remedies on the affected area as well as rubbing oregano oil and dmso at the base of my spine. I live a very healthy life which includes weightlifting and running on a daily basis. I also watch what I eat and try to eat as organic as I can. I have eliminated all the advised foods and still am having this dilemma.

I have been battling this disease now for over a year without any improvement whatsoever. It's becoming an extreme struggle. I am unable to sleep with anyone let alone have a relationship.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it's really bringing me down and now is at the point of affecting my daily life.

Thank you in advance.

I had a urine test which looked for fungas and chlamydia and both came back negative. I have also used fungal cream without any improvement whatsoever.

Thank you for your reply.

I have had no testing since the night. I was told by the girls doctor who I slept with that it was herpes. I understand this isn't precise and will be getting a test in the near future.

What else could this be?

Any more advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

You absolutely must test if you have not done so. What you describe does not sound like herpes, but that won't mean you don't have herpes.

Have you had an IgG antibody blood test for HSV1 and HSV2. If not get one now!
