this is not the doctor's forum - you have to pay to post there.
as I have already said, this doesn't sound like a herpes issue going on. continue to follow up with your neurologist as needed.
hi DR grace
i have been tested for HSV1 and 2 using both IGG and IGM. the tests came back negative for both.
Now can i consider this as a conclusive result.
btw, i have not had any blisters or lesions, only some cuts which confirmed by docs as non herpes sign, and sometimes tingling in penis and leg
thanks
the reason I asked if you had been tested is because if you already had hsv1, whether you knew it or not, it would've helped with you assessing your risk in general.
typically hsv1 genitally presents with very obvious and classic symptoms. you didn't have multiple painful lesions so odds are this is something non-herpes related. many infections can be transmitted through oral sex. continue to see your provider as needed. no std causes all over body tingling and indeed your providers assessment of anxiety being part of your issue is probably spot on.
no, you can't transmit genital herpes from the oral area. it doesn't travel up the body to be shed from there.
i am sorry for asking too much
i do have another question
if you have herpes simplex genitally but not orally, can you transmit the disease by kissing some one or by sharing the same cup
thanks again
no i haven't, because i heard that the herpes test is not reliable until more than 3 months.
do you have any suggestion?
and would u mind if u tell me, can herpes cause neuropathy-like symptoms (frequent urination, thigh pain and leg burning sensation and body fatigue) for almost 4 weeks without first having an OB
i really appreciate your effort
thanks alot
have you ever been tested for herpes before to know your own status?
grace
