There are no documented cases of transmission genital herpes transmission to children  that aren't directly related to child sexual abuse.  It's really nothing to worry about. We just don't have that sort of contact with our children and the virus is easily killed with soap and water.  You really can cross it off of your list of 3, 466, 345 things to worry about your child about each day :)   I have kids myself and have done absolutely everything "normal" with them from bathing with them when they were small to sleeping with them in my bed without any fear at all.  The close contact with a parent is far more important to their well being :)

the only real difference between acyclovir and valtrex is that you take valtrex less often so it's more convenient.  They are both otherwise comparable and infact valtrex is an acyclovir prodrug.  http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/8280?personal_page_id=2773  is a journal post I made awhile back that you might find useful reading too.

If you still aren't feeling better a week after completing your yeast treatment, see a provider who will test for yeast and bacteria to be make sure that neither is still going on.

Sorry about my reply...I may have taken it the wrong way...I'm just stressed...I took your advice and went to my doc...i told him i may have an infection contributing to the ob and he just looked did no tests n said it was yeast...I did ask to be put on therapy...valtrex is way to expensive 2 months for 600 dollars...i have no insurance...so put me on aclyvour...or something...what is the difference...n also i still am scared to death of giving it to newborn...have there ever been any documented cases of transmission to baby from parents with hsv2?

I do apologize - my dogs woke me up way too early this morning and I couldn't get back to sleep and was a tad cranky this morning.  I could've gotten my point across a little nicer.

I did cover what you need to do next though in your prior post along with some explanations as to why they need done.  Your body is going thru a lot of changes right now and your hormones as a mess yet so your body is more prone to other issues down yonder too which need ruled out. If it's not all herpes going on, not all the herpes antivirals in the world will help cut down on the ob's.

And if you haven't read the read before post post, please take the time to do so - it's as much as to help you get the best help possible as it is to make our help be the best help you can get here on this forum :)

No I have not followed up with my provider yet...and this is no where near the original post...if you recall it was about afraid of infecting my baby...i mentioned having alot of outbreaks...I posted this one to see if anyone else has ever had trouble after pregnancy with this until I can return to my provider...its not that easy to call and get in right away...and I was kinda worriied about it...and so sorry I didn't take the time to read the post telling me to repost on the original...I thought this forum was for advice and experiences with others....so sorry for the confusion...I won't post again...

If you read our read before posting post at the top of this forum - you'll see that we ask you just keep adding your questions to your original post. This actually is the same basic question you asked in your post just a week ago. Have you followed up yet with your provider?  No reason to keep asking the same question if you haven't followed the advice you were given the first time.  thank you for your future cooperation with this.
