genital HSV-2 question

Hello,
So I am kind of freaking out right now;
I got diagnosed with genital HSV-2 about a year ago and am taking Valtrex for suppressive therapy.  I only have one partner, and I haven't transmitted this to him since I have been diagnosed and have had sex for about ten months.
we don't use protection.
My reason for panic: we just had sex, and after vaginal intercourse I gave him oral sex.  We showered, and I noticed I have a small lesion...realizing I'm probably having an active outbreak... What are the odds that I am now going to have oral herpes from my own genital herpes during sex?
Thank you

you and your partner can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take until you know who has what. Ask him to look to see if he was tested for herpes and if he wasn't, ask him to get testing to see if you even have to worry about transmission to him or not.

YAY! lol thank you, I hope that you are right!

no, I know that he has been tested for STD's within the past 4 months but I know that the hsv tests are specific.

you won't get oral herpes from your own genital herpes.

was your partner tested to know their status for hsv1 and hsv2?
