genital HSV1

I got HSV 2 from oral. I hear everyone referring to it as genital HSV1, which is supposed to have less outbreaks than HSV2. My doctor diagnosed me with HSV 1 and 2. So my question is there a such thing as genital HSV1 or not

Obtain a full copy of the results. There are far too many misdiagnoses around the wrong tests such as IgM and combined HSV1/2 tests.

Yes you can get HSV 1/2 theoretically on any part of your body, but oral and genital are the predominant locations.

How were you diagnosed with HSV? What were the exact results? What symptoms did you have?
