Inconsistent Blood Test Results...

Prior to this year I had taken 2 STD test for herpes, which both came back negative.  Earlier this year, after 2 years of not taking a herpes test, I took a HerpeSelect 1 and 2 test along with an Elisa IgG test kit blood test.   My results came back equivocal for HSV 2.   One month later, I took the same test again, it came back negative for HSV 2.  One month later, I retested to confirm the results and it came back equivocal for HSV 2.   And finally, one month after that, I took my last test which came back negative for HSV 2.  In each test HSV 1 was negative.  Can someone please explain?  Do I keep testing to confirm or deny my latest results?  Am I truly negative or is there something else going on here?  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated...Thank you.

equivocal is negative if enough time has passed. really no reason to suspect you have hsv2 and really no reason for more testing.
