Confused herpes reuslts

I recently went to an obgyn to determine pregnancy and about a bump i saw on my pubic area. He said that it could be herpes so we did a blood test. The results came back saying igm 0.23 and igg 0.48. What does this mean? I never went back to him, instead I went to another doctor and he said that it doesnt look herpes but just ingrown hair which is what I thought it was so I never really pay it any attention. Should I retake the test?

I really don't think your results were 1.1. I think you are confused by the way the results report.

I am so sorry to bother you with it.... I am confused really because my symptoms really doesnt look herpes to me or close to the images I see online. And since the blood test results stated 1.1 positive....seems like combine the igm and igg results and came up with 1.1. I was wondering if it was false and if i should retake the test.

Thanks.....can you at least tell me about the herpes symptoms? It started off as one swollen bump, itched a bit...it popped and bled. I am just confused as I thought it was ingrown hair.

since you aren't in the US, I can't really help too much with your blood testing.

If you have a regular partner, they too need tested for herpes to know what their status is. If this is a recently acquired infection, it might not show up this soon on your blood tests.
