HSV-1 possible airborne transmission?

Hi,

So I'm a student at university and today in class we had an interactive seminar where we had to work in pairs with our peers.
The girl that was sitting beside me ended up being my partner. As we were having our conversation about the seminar topic, I noticed a huge cold sore on the side of the lip that was towards my direction. (I had not previously seen it because her hair was in the way; and in general that is not exactly something I look out for when looking at people).

I am slightly worried because we had to be in that un-ventilated seminar room for 2 hours. We also had to talk in close proximity about the work (I cautiously tried to keep a "safe" distance whilst still being polite and co-operative in the seminar task.

I am worried about:
-transmission via infected droplets being breathed in
-transmission via infected droplets landing on my skin (my lips in particular)
-transmission by fragments of her sore landing on my skin during our conversation

Some of you may say this is psychosomatic, but soon after, my lips (on the side towards where she sat) started to have a tingling, burning sensation.
I am really worried because I am already someone who has low-self esteem in general and do not want to contract something that would make me even more self-conscious about my face; not to mention the painful symptoms it causes.

Please could someone tell me the chances that I was exposed to the virus?
I have read in various articles that airborne transmission is not impossible, I previously thought it was.

Thanks in advance!

I could've read only the title and answered. Zero possibility of contraction hsv from this. It's absolutely not an airborne virus. It takes direct contact at least. Most times it takes being massaged in as well.
No worries

Thanks for responding. It's appreciated.

One more question: What about if a droplet of her spit landed on my lip? She is actively shedding if she has a sore and that was another big concern of mine.
Nope. Not even then. You have a better chance of being struck by lightning.
