Help!
About 2 months ago I started getting a wired feeling down there. Pain and frequent urination. It didnt burn when I peed just right before I had to which was every half hour. It was soar down there and very uncomfortable. I took the 3 day monistat treatment and it got better. But not gone completely. I had some bumps that burst ( I popped, dumb I know). My doctor looked at them and assured me it was not herpes. I have had a urinalysis and nothing tested for other stds and nothing. My pap came back normal with pus cells present which my doctor said was nothing to worry about. I have not as of yet taken the cipro he prescribed. I am so scared I'd thus herpes ???? Please help!!!!
A pap test only looks for abnormal cervical cells. it's not helpful for std testing.

Thank you for taking the time to help. I am very scared as the unprotected occurance was not by choice. Therefore I know nothing about this person. Does this sound like herpes. I am not looking for diagnosis just done insight. This happened 6 months ago and until about feb6. I really had no reason got concern. Until now I have had no lesions and my doctor looked at my bumps and assured my me he saw nothing resembling a std. I have had wired things since feb. could my paranoia be contributing. As my pap was done 2 weeks ago and was normal. Also I am constantly investigating down there could that also be a factor. Thank you do much.
Thank you for taking the time to help. I am really scared. The unprotected occurance was not by my choice. So I know nothing about this person. I have had no reason ( physically) for concern until now. I have pretty much convinced myself that I have herpes. I will take the cipro regardless and keep you posted. Thanks again

were you given cipro for the vaginal infection or for your uti symptoms? why didn't you take it regardless?
you can get a type specific herpes igg blood test done 3 months after the last time you had sex to know your herpes status.

Aldo I have had a scratchy throat and stuffy nose for the last 2 months. And it's been over a month and the 2 bumps are still there just very small.
