lease someone respond

Since I found out I had hsv in 2013, I've had two OB..one in July and one in nov. ..i then had another in jan 2014 and haven't had another one until now sept2014...why do u think I don't get them often? And when they come, it's only one tiny lump...it doesn't even form to a bump..it's more like a little cut with inflammation and honestly it doesn't give me any problem except if I wear tight undergarments or wash too hard. Why is that? I got tested with a swab and blood ND both came back positive hsv2. ..does this sound like hsv2 or hsv1?
Now as far as hsv1 goes, I had one OB of a bump on my lip in 2012 (I'm quite sure I contracted the virus in 2012 but officially found out by testing in 2013) and one bump in 2013...these bumps usually turn into a scab and clear up....i got one in 2014 also....but it just happened ....9 months into the yr and only one OB..im curious to know what this means. The time I don't have a cold sore, is my saliva infected? So is my Salvia infected at all times? Or is my salvia only infected while the OB is on my lip? I have a child and I share my cup or food ...if my saliva is infected,  does that mean I passed it to my child?  Can I not kiss my BF if I'm not having an OB? Can I not kiss my child on the jaw? I never used medication for this virus, only home remedies for hsv2....what home remedies can I use for the scab that hsv1 eave on my lip? It's quite embarrassing and I want to clear it up asap.. should I change tooth brushes after this OB? thanks in advance u guys!

Hi and welcome. The doctor must tell you if this is hsv1 or 2. It appears as 2 from mulitple outbreaks as hsv1 tends not to appear as often. Are you getting them in the same spot, give or take an inch?

Be thankful that you only have small cuts and minimal pain. Some people get breakouts once a month. It's different for everyone. If you have hsv 1 it is recommended that you don't share cups, eating utensils, etc. while you have an active sore/breakout. Also don't kiss during that time. You can spread herpes to other areas of your body so wash your hands frequently and wash your child's face if you do kiss him/her on the jaw. For cold sores you can use lemon balm, peroxide, vitamin E oil and many other home remedies. I suggest doing some research online for cold sore remedies. You can also take a supplement called L-Lysine, which can be found at drug stores or health food stores. It helps in the healing process of cold sores and can prevent them from appearing. Research to figure out what will work best for you.
