Thanks Doctor, I have already ordered IGG type specific not IGM and i will schedule for test this week. Will Keep you posted.
You can test at 8 weeks. It will be a good indicator. No igm tests.
What you describe is not hsv related. Let me know the results.
Thanks doctor, I'm trying to keep myself busy but I can't ,my brain not listening me. From tomorrow I'm on my eighth week, can I go get tested for IGG type specific? I can't wait.
I know you said it's not herpes I want to update here, I had small bump on June-14 on top left side of lip it appeared without pain and after 5-6 hours later I see white pus formed but everything disappeared in two days. But I never had such pimple on my lip. Could be my body has more resistance power to heal so quickly is that possible???
Sorry doctor keep on asking samething repeatedly but I thought of updating here so I feel some relief.
The body would produce the antibodies the igm test for shortly after infection. A week or two. They don't stay very long in most people.
2. Yes the igg should remain positive for life. Hsv1 testing isn't perfect and can miss an established infection. Hsv2 does not have that issue.
3.igm would in most cases not stay positive but once the igg is positive there is no reason to test for igm.
4. No. I do not put any faith in the igm test. If you had a newly acquired hsv1 infection of the genitals and didn't have a previous oral infection you would surely know it.
We had a lengthy discussion on the subject. You do not have hsv. Forget about the igm test it is NOT RELIABLE at all. You had a super low risk encounter with even lower risk partner. I can not stress that enough. You are fine and it's time to move on without concern!!!
