horny girlfriend and outbreak

since testing positive to hsv2 in april Ive had my first outbreak (that im aware of)  since may 6 now june 25. it started with one small bump on the lip of the head of my penis and is now several traveling on to the head. They just turn red and don't seem to disappear, puss or scab. My girlfriend (hsv2 neg)is in her 30s ,sexual prime and cant go without sex!! Is it safe to have protected sex YET!?!  do these Completely disappear? or always a small pimple. There are no other areas that wouldn't be covered by a condom. Also who better to visually look at this , a urologist or dermatologist? thanks

Valtrex is allowed to be sold in a generic form only in India at this time. I would be very reluctant to order from anyplace online that said it was selling valtrex in a cheap generic form. They are not allowed to say it's valtrex if it's acyclovir.  ( I am currently at work and unable to access the site you posted to give a better answer than that ).

If you're talking about acyclovir, yes, it's much cheaper than Valtrex and works the same. You just take it more often.

There is not a cheap generic version of valtrex available for purchase in the US.

Whatever is currently going on - it's not herpes related since it's been there since early may. That said - it's SOMETHING going on and I still think it's best to avoid actual sex until you find out what it is and get it treated. ( I'd skip the receiving oral sex/69 action until you know what's going on )

I know it's hard but you know some of us here have even went years in between sex - it really won't kill you. it's why there are sex toy shops and our hands ;)

How will you know when it's safe to have sex? When you don't have any symptoms. Pretty simple, huh?

Don't worry - girlfriend won't die if she doesn't get any. Use a dildo on her. Tell her to masturbate. Go down on her. Do a 69 and she can do you at the same time.

In other words, use your imagination.

thanks grace i should have asked you first. you helped me here back in April? when i first found i was hsv2 pos. I got re tested with the igg test for better accuracy and while waiting for results i had my first(that im aware of) out break. started as two small red bumps and over the past month is travel from lip of penis up to the head with several more red bumps. Ive been taking valtrex since that started.my confusion is-  I have no burning, scabbing, puss etc just red bumps, some returning to skin tone. Are they going to go away Completely? or still there? My girlfriend is going out of her mind here without sex!! Im looking at a Dermatologist here in LA who has delt with herpes previously to get an embarrassing visual inspection. how will i know its safe to have sex again? -thanks

Can't you go down on her while you're waiting to heal?

No you shouldn't be having sex - even with a condom on until your ob is completely over.

Are you on suppressive therapy?
