Had HSV2 AND HSV1 FOR 9 YEARS

I had unprotected sexual oral/ intercourse which was very short i can say 5 minutes durationan at about 6 days ago with a male that is now extremely concerned that he has HSV2. Is day 6 and he still has no symptoms. I would like to ask the Dr. What are the chances he will get it since he is so concerned. I have been married for 6 years and i have unprotected sex with my husband and im not under any medications. This male is not my husband but he is concerned my husband is awared of my health status though he never got any outbreaks or any symptoms ever.
I have 3 questions.
1. What are the chances that after 6 days with no visible symptoms he can contract it?
2. Is is true that the longer you carry the virus in your system the less chances of transmission?
3. When they say days from exposure, is it counted from the day of the actual intercourse?

That is actually so nice of you thanks. I will send him the link but then, can he write you directly or does he has to create a portal and leave the comments like i did and then you will pick up?

Ok im sorry i was under the impression that a Dr. will answer the questions, but by what you answered i know you know alot about the subject. The reason why I ask is because the guy that was exposed is so scared that he barely eats or sleep all he does is smoke and drink coffee waiting for days to pass by and i feel so bad about the situation that im also stressed. When i first got it, it was the 5th day after exposure and we going to 7 tomorrow thats why i have a feeling he is ok. But thanks again for the advise.

You will find most Dr's don't know much about hsv or testing for that matter. I spend a great deal of time here sorting out people's stress that Dr's needlessly put them through.

There are no actual Dr's on here. I had a scare once and decided to research the subject. I've had the privilege of learning from some of the best experts in the US. I also learned a lot from the lab at the University of Washington. They do the western blot test. All in all I have way to much time invested. Lol
I was honored to be asked by medhelp to be a community leader on this forum. Just paying it forward.

Ok im glad you know so much about the subject and are able to help people with their concerns. I forgot to mention in my post that at the moment of intercourse i had no outbreaks neither any symptoms and that the last time i had an outbreak was a few weeks before the actual intercourse and it was in my buttocks near my anus. This guy is scared out of his mind and thats why im trying to find all resources possible to help him. Thanks again.

The odds are very low. Less than one in a thousand. I would day if he doesn't have an outbreak within 14 days from the Intercourse then he can be confident he didn't contract hsv.
Yes it is true that the longer someone has the virus the less they shed and with less potency.
Yes. You start counting from the day of the oral/Intercourse.

All in all I wouldn't worry to much as the odds are so very low. I never judge anyone's sexual encounters but I would suggest protection. It protects you from everything as well. Best of luck and let me know if anything wasn't clear.

Thanks so much for your response. Can I ask you how is it that you know so much about the subject? Are you in a medical field?
