Herpes symptoms but negative testing

So I've been going through a lot of stress for the past 14 weeks almost with what I feel is a genital herpes infection after having protected sex with a CSW (foolish, I know). I've had burning or stinging sensations in my upper back, waistline, thighs, scrotum, buttocks and a few weeks ago I started feeling irritation in my anal area; like that of having eaten spicy food. I've had no blisters or lesions, just pimples on my thighs which were diagnosed as folliculitis by a derm. I had igg and igm testing which came out negative approx 10 days after the encounter. I retested the igg at 2 days shy of 9 weeks and that came out negative for both types as well. I've even visited an infectious disease/STD clinic and got thoroughly examined and was told I don't have herpes. Yet I still have all these symptoms (back seems to be ok now) they are never debilitating, but they are there for long periods of time, not sure they go away anymore to be honest. Every doctor I've seen believes it's my anxiety, and I pray they are right however I'm not sure what more to do to be sure? I do plan to get another igg done at 16 weeks and hoping that is negative again.

Appreciate any advice from the experts here.

Got tested at 16 weeks and the igg results came back negative. Basically the same values when I tested at 9 days past encounter. Guess this should help ease my anxiety and move on from this whole ordeal.

My pubic mound has never been an issue. In the genital area it's been the scrotum and the glans. The glans has been red and irritated sometimes after masturbating, but never have I seen any bumps or anything of the sort. Wouldn't My current symptoms which have spread possibly be herpes since it's long after the first point of contact? Symptoms started about a week after the encounter and were in the upper back and thigh area. Glans possibly too.

Thanks again.

Hi, since first time symptoms appear at point of contact and you had protected sex, that area would be your pubic mounds area so the issue your having on your back and such, would not be related to herpes at all. Testing at 8 weeks is a good indicator. None of what you mention would suggest herpes but i do agree with the doctors that your anxiety is getting the best of you.
