it's quite likely that your buttocks symptoms are hsv2. Did your provider also do a swab of them or just the blood test?
No way to know when you contracted hsv2 or from whom. Your spouse would need to be tested to know his status.

Not sure I can add anything but encouragement to you.
The acronyms are unknown to me.
I have had genital herpes since early 80s; no tests back then or meds either.
I'm now 74...have had many sexual partners....never gave to any.
One of my sons got it too, but his attitude is f*** it...every other person walking through Winn Dixie probably has it.
Best is to get on with it: be upfront with future or current partner/s...then you have done your part. The rest is up to them.
I am a 2 yr survivor of anal cancer caused by HPV. Will never know answers to everything, and have finally calmed down and decided if I need to know something doc will tell me. It is about survival for me. Herpes seems like a slight annoyance.
It is true, for what it's worth, that I've had several episodes since end of treatment.
Docs first thought they were infection, dry vagina..whatever ...but I knew and started Zovirex (ins won't pay for Valtrex..which is best).
Last word: get vaccinated against HPV. It won't cure your herpes, may help you to be aggressive about a future worry. My oncologist says an epidemic is coming:).
Is your HSV2 4.85 or 1.09?? There can only be one number associated with it. Did you get tested for HSV1 as well?
Did you have a swab/culture of your symptoms?
HSV2 IgG 4.85 High Negative 1.09 are my results im speechless. How long i had this and didnt know also Is it possible that my husband of 6years have it also? I started out with a bump on my butt i thought it was just a pimple i had been bothering it all the time then i got a second on my butt as well. Is there any tropical cream i can use along with my Valtrex prescription?????
It means you are postive for HSV 2.
