not sure if herpes or not

Im not sure if i have herpes or not.  I had sex a little over a week ago, and on the sixth day i experienced painful urination.  its been painful for about 7 days now and also have noticed three little red bumps on the foreskin, that have lasted as long as the painful urination.  I had got it checked out by my doctor who says it may be a fungal infection, so he gave me fluconazole.  at the same time he was not certain what it was and told me that it would be too early to test for herpes.  he took a urine sample for now.  i have been taking the fluconazole for 2 days along with monistat.  the three red bumps also have some white discharge from them and they do seem like they might be ulcerations because they look like little craters with white on the inside.  it does not hurt to touch them although they are a bit sensetive. I dont know what this might be can someone please give me some more info.  thanks

It does sound a tad suspicious that it could be Herpes I'm afraid, particularly when they appeared around a week after possible exposure as well as how you describe the lesions, you're Doctor should have taken a culture swab while the lesions were there and that would have told whether or not it was Herpes, you will have to wait 2-3 months now to have a blood test, but in the meantime if they appear again in those 2-3 months go to your nearest STD /GUM clinic and have them swabbed for possible HSV as soon as they show up again.....
I'm sorry I can give you a more reasurring answer
