outbreaks

When you have HSV2 outbreaks, are they usually the same?  Or can the sores be different and will symptoms be different?

My sores always look the same however they clear up in a few days. Many times people contract herpes and never know because they stay asymptomatic. It's very possible you have had this for a while and it's just now showing up. Let us know how your appointment goes today.

and the sore I have now is almost gone after a day.  also my doctor told me that because my igm test was negative, this is not a recent exposure and my boyfriend is negative so I must have had it for awhile so im surprised that I would have outbreaks all of a sudden and a month apart

I'm not sure Im having an outbreak or not.  Going to the doctor today.  Last month I went to  doctor because I had a sore in my genital area.  No other symptoms.  She could not get a good sample for the culture.  My IGG test came back positive but I'm going to get retested because this test had no range, my boyfriend of a year and half is negative, no positive culture and a negative IGM test.  So 2 days ago I started to itch and I have a tiny bump in that same are as the sore I had last month but It looks completely different.  Not sure they will be able to get a good sample today for a culture.  Just trying to figure out what my outbreaks will be like.

When I have OBs they're in in same exact place every time, they sure hurt a lot less than my first one, and only last a few days. Symptom wise...I know when it's coming because it always presents the same way as well.
