can i confide in these results!!

Hey, to make a long story short. I tested postive via herpeselect at 2.6 igg about 2 months ago. No outbreaks,no symptoms, no reason or thoughts to believe i have any std. i tested at my schools clinic just for an annual std check up. my last testing before this was about 2 years ago in which i was negative for all stds.  i asked the test administers and the doctors if it could be a false positive and i was told no and just to accept it. An RX for valterex was written by the doctor but i declined. something in my gut told me to seek more information, i knew something had to be wrong, not that i was in denial, but i just had a gut feeling it was false postive. i began doing research and found that my 2.60 igg is positive, but in the gray area. AND IT COULD BE A FALSE POSITIVE!! so i did research and learned that a western blot needs to be performed to give a definate positive or definate negative if tested at the right time. my last possible "exposure' would have been nearly a year and half almost 2 years from the time i was tested, so i reached out to the university of washington and was able to get the western blot performed. I got my results back this monday. IM NEGATIVE FOR HSV2 AND POSITIVE FOR HSV1!! .i already knew i had hsv1, had it for a lifetime....So medhelp, what do you guys think, could i put this hsv2 scare to bed and move on with my life? im still reluctant to think i dont have hsv2. im still up and down with this since monday. Please help!

Hi and welcome. The WB is the gold standard in testing and you can trust that you are infact negative. Glad you did some research! :)
