prodromes - locations of symptoms

I have seen somwhat conflicting information regarding prodromes.  I am male, HSV2 positive for 9+ years.  i do know my igG #s.    My question is this...is the tingling, itching, burning associated with a prodrome generally located just at the normal location of outbreaks, or can you have similar symptoms in other locations.  I am feeling a dull ache in my muscles of my thigh and buttock, also sometimes in my hip or crease of leg.  Is this part of a prodrome, should I expect an OB in the next 48 hours?  I have read these symptoms can go along with male yeast infections.  I also occassionally get jock-itch, but it is easily treated with topical sprays - could that have any bearing?

Other than hsv prodorme may just be an injury of some sort. Having you done some work  lately? By the way, prodrome is most things like tingling as is a nerve issue body aches are a symptom of a new infection along with fever so if they are body aches vrs tingling then it would not be hsv related.

thanks for the reply, and sorry for the typos... should I just wait and see if if I get an OB to know if these are symptoms of a prodrome, or could they be related to something other than HSV?

yes, I have had outbreaks, and am currently on daily supression meds, valcyclovir (sp).  Normally the OBs are at the base of my base of my penis shaft, sometimes more on my body than the shadt itself.  although, I have had two sores (what i thought were OBs)  on the back of my thigh before.  But i seem to be having 'achey' type pains in my lower back, hips, buttocks, thigh and sometimes groin area (albeit not all at once)

Hi, prodrome is most often the same spot and breakout are usually the same spot give or take an inch but as you know can appear anywhere in the sacrum ganglion. Have you had outbreaks before?
